How to Connect Apple Health
Import workouts, workout metrics, and sleep from Apple Health with the rslts iPhone or iPad app.
Apple Health connects through the rslts app for iPhone and iPad. It can import workouts recorded by Apple Watch and by other apps or devices that save their data to Apple Health.
Before starting, confirm that the workout or sleep data you want is visible in Apple’s Health or Fitness app. rslts cannot retrieve data that the device’s own app has not saved to Apple Health.
Step 1: Open Apple Health in rslts
Open the rslts app, sign in, and select Settings. Under Data Sources, tap Apple Health.
Choose the athlete who should receive this device’s Apple Health data. The destination must be an athlete profile owned by your account; a coach cannot upload their personal Health data to a shared athlete.
Review the requested data, then tap Continue to Apple Health.
Step 2: Allow the supported categories
Turn on all of the categories rslts requests:
- Active Energy
- Cycling Distance
- Heart Rate
- Running Speed
- Sleep
- Steps
- Swimming Distance
- Walking + Running Distance
- Workouts
These read permissions provide workout summaries, heart-rate and pace detail, distance, cadence derived from steps, energy, and sleep duration and stages. rslts does not request permission to write to Apple Health.
Step 3: Confirm the connection
After authorization, rslts returns to the Apple Health screen and begins its initial read. Confirm that Status says Connected. You can tap Sync Now to check immediately for new workouts or sleep data.
The initial import can take a little time. Background delivery is opportunistic, so open rslts and tap Sync Now if a recent workout has not appeared yet.
Change permissions later
Apple Health remembers its permissions even if you disconnect and reconnect inside rslts. A reconnect therefore may not show the authorization page again.
To review or change access:
- Open Apple’s Health app.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Under Privacy, tap Apps.
- Tap rslts and enable the categories listed above.
Return to rslts and tap Sync Now after changing access.
Disconnect or change athletes
One rslts installation can send Apple Health data to one athlete at a time. To choose a different owned athlete, open Settings → Apple Health, tap Disconnect, and then connect again with the new destination.
Disconnecting stops future synchronization but keeps data already imported into rslts. The separate Stop Syncing and Delete Imports option also removes that athlete’s Apple Health workout details and sleep records from rslts; neither option deletes anything from Apple’s Health app.
