Remote Starts
Using the Starter page to trigger the gun and coordinate with the finish line.
Remote Starts
The Starter page is used by the official at the start line to send the gun signal to the finish-line device over WebSocket.
Before starting
Check that the Finish Line status shows Ready. The Starter page displays this status in the connection panel. If the finish line is not ready, wait — tapping Start before the finish line is connected will not record a valid start time.
Starting a heat
Select the heat from the dropdown. Tap Start to fire the gun signal. The timer on the Finish Line page begins the moment the signal is received.
Sound effects
Toggle Sound to enable an audible start beep. This plays on the starter’s device only and is useful for remote or alternative timing setups. The sound does not travel to the finish line.
False starts
Tap False Start after the gun has fired but before athletes clear the first turn. This signals the finish line to discard the current heat’s pending records. The Starter page resets so you can restart the heat.
Sync status
The Sync indicator shows whether the start event was acknowledged by the server. A green sync means the start time is saved and the finish line will receive it even if the WebSocket briefly drops.
